The Janusz Korczak Trail was inaugurated in the Upper Galilee

"Janusz Korczak Trail" is a 5 km long trail, inaugurated this week in the Naftali Mountains in the Upper Galilee.

The trail traces the visit of the great educator to Kfar Giladi in 1936 - six years before he was murdered in Treblinka with his orphanage children.

The trail is the result of a conversation between two women: Mirik Snir had a conversation with her mother, Rachel Segal (Rabinovich), about the visit of Janusz Korczak - known by his Polish name "Henrik Goldschmidt" - to Kfar Giladi in 1936.
