WATCH: KA-BOOM! EXPLOSIVE Footage of Israel Clearing Minefield

Israel’s defense ministry released dramatic footage of a minefield being cleared in the Golan Heights on Thursday, June 29.

According to the ministry, dozens of mines were detonated in the operation.

The explosives were placed there during the 1973 Arab-Israeli War, the ministry said.

A Syrian radio station and other social media posts suggested the detonation was carried out to make way for the building of wind turbines, which has been the cause of recent protests in the area.

This has not been confirmed.

@What if what if? It's likely an area where people shouldn't be walking and anywhere there is a mine field there are signs.

What a celebration for our Fourth of July! Plus the destruction of personal mines… Israel’s army wouldn’t clear mines without clearing them all. So, why the “What ifs?”
