A sudden ceasefire between the US, Israel, and Iran has raised major questions about whether pausing military pressure helps stability—or gives a dangerous regime time to regroup.

FOR: A ceasefire can reduce immediate threats, save lives, and give the US and Israel time to strengthen strategic positioning while testing whether Iran is willing to de-escalate.

AGAINST: Halting attacks risks allowing Iran’s regime to recover, rearm, and continue its long-term aggression without facing the full consequences of its actions.
