Internet users in the Sultanate of Oman are once again outraged by the discovery of fruit boxes with pages from the Koran used as a substrate. These boxes were found yesterday at one of the sales points in the north of the country.
This is desecration of the Koran, which can result in heavy punishment according to local law.
About six months ago, a similar incident happened and then it was estimated that it was a shipment of fruits from Iran. It is reported that the origin of this shipment is from Iran also.
It will be mentioned that in 2019, torn pages from the Koran were found in a shipment of apples from Iran to Kuwait and as a result the permissive country banned the import of apples from it.
