The "Palestinian Center for Policy Research and Surveys" (PCPSR) published the results of a survey conducted in recent days on a number of issues that are on the agenda. Some interesting data:
68% of the public (71% in the Gaza Strip and 66% in the West Bank) are in favor of the establishment of armed groups such as "Gov Aryot", which are not subject to the PA, 25% oppose it.
61% of the public (48% in the Gaza Strip and 69% in the West Bank) assume that a third armed intifada will break out, 36% do not think so.
63% support the cessation of security coordination with Israel that was recently announced by the PA, while 32% oppose; however, in the majority's assessment (79%), the PA did not really suspend security coordination with Israel.
52% believe that the interest of the Palestinian people lies in the dissolution of the Palestinian Authority, while 42% think that it should continue to exist.
71% supported the killing of the two settlers in Hawara, while 21% expressed opposition to this and similar attacks.
68% support holding elections (76% in the Gaza Strip and 63% in the West Bank) for the presidency and the legislature in the near future.
77% are not satisfied with Abu Mazen's performance and 19% are satisfied with him (22% in the Gaza Strip and 17% in the West Bank).
