An Egyptian media channel reported a deeply troubling revelation: on November 10, Hamas acknowledged that three organizations which had allegedly raised an enormous, undisclosed amount of “aid”—likely in the hundreds of millions of dollars—were in fact a scam, and that none of the money ever reached Gaza.
The groups named were “Kuluna Maryam,” “Munir al-Aqsa,” and “Waqf al-Umma,” all previously promoted as humanitarian channels.
According to the report, Hamas listed seven individuals involved by name, including several prominent sheikhs long connected to the Muslim Brotherhood in Jordan as well as other broader Islamist networks. Others were described as “activists.”
The revelation highlights yet another case of corruption inside Hamas’s orbit, further confirming how funds raised under the guise of “aid” routinely vanish instead of helping Gazans.
