Saeid Shaverdi says Iran may soon unveil missiles capable of striking Europe and warns that regional energy infrastructure could be set ablaze.
Iranian political analyst Saeid Shaverdi said he wished Iran could attack European countries in the same way it targets Arab states across the Middle East.
Speaking on Al-Hiwar TV, Shaverdi said European countries that allow the US to launch aircraft or missiles from their territory should face direct Iranian retaliation. He admitted that Iran’s current missiles cannot reach Europe but suggested that Tehran may soon unveil longer-range weapons capable of doing so.
Shaverdi also threatened European economic interests, saying Iran could target oil tankers and disrupt the trade of countries operating in the region.
