Has Iran has carried out yet another failed satellite-carrying missile launch?

David Schmerler, a senior researcher at the James Martin Center for the Non-Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction, said Iran may not have been able to launch a satellite-carrying missile.

On Tuesday, Schmeller posted a satellite image posted by the American company Maxar and tweeted that Iran tried to launch a missile again, but apparently failed.

The photo released by the researcher is from February 27 and shows signs of a fire in the launch pad at the Imam Khomeini National Space Base in Samanan province in Iran.

David Schmerler wrote that since Iran has not yet responded, it can be said that its move was unsuccessful.

Iran announced last January that it had failed in its attempt to put three research satellites into orbit using a Simorg satellite-carrying missile. Iranian Defense Ministry officials explained that the satellite-carrying missile did not arrive fast enough to put the charge into orbit, and the project failed.
