Senator Tom Cotton, who heads the Senate Armed Services Committee, delivered a forceful message about Iran’s future, stating that the revolutionary regime “is going to be restrained and neutered.”
Cotton added that the regime will no longer be able to threaten the civilized world, including US forces, Israel, and Arab states in the region. He stressed that Iran must be prevented from launching missiles capable of reaching Europe and targeting American bases, including those in the Indian Ocean.
NEWSRAEL: WHY THIS IS IMPORTANT
Cotton’s remarks reflect a growing position in Washington that the Iranian regime must not simply be contained, but fundamentally weakened to the point where it can no longer project power beyond its borders. This goes beyond past policies focused on deterrence or limited agreements.
