Satellite images have shown the Gaza Strip before and after the war between Israel and Hamas following the October 7 attack, which resulted in the destruction of large parts of the coastal strip.
The images, published by Planet Labs, provide a glimpse of the extent of the destruction in an area that is largely closed to journalists.
According to the Associated Press, some of the images show a potential buffer zone that Israel wants to create despite international objections.
The agency indicates that the area is about 60 square kilometers from the total area of Gaza, out of about 360 square kilometers of Gaza's total area.
Other images show the devastation that has affected the Gaza Strip, where buildings have been demolished and roads are filled with rubble.
An analysis conducted by the UN Satellite Centre in December estimated that 69% of all buildings in Gaza were damaged by the fighting.
