Media in Turkey are reporting that an Israeli of Arab origin was killed and two other men were injured during a shooting at their car, and according to them the Istanbul police have launched an extensive investigation into the matter.
The slain businessman was identified as Abdul Kadir Anas, and his father denied any political motive for this attack and told the Turkish news agency "Demiroran": "We have nothing to do with politics, we are Israeli Arabs of Palestinian origin."
All three occupants of this car were initially identified as Palestinians by local media.
The victims were on Sunday, August 18, on Delaware Street in the Kaytaneh (Paper Office) area in northern Istanbul, when the attack happened.
