The prime minister says Israel has never been stronger and warns Tehran of an unprecedented response if it attacks.
Speaking in the Knesset plenum during a 40-signature debate, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel is facing “very complex and challenging days” amid rising regional tensions, including the possibility of confrontation with Iran.
“I recently returned from my seventh meeting with the President of the US since his election,” Netanyahu said. “I say today, regarding the security of millions of Israeli citizens – Israel has never been stronger.”
He emphasized that the alliance with the US has “never been tighter,” including close coordination between the countries’ security and defense establishments. “There has never been anything like it,” he said.
