Israel faces an unprecedented convergence of existential threats. The Iran–Russia–China–Turkey axis seeks to dismantle American power and the Western democratic order.
Iran’s nuclear ambitions, its terror proxies from Hezbollah to the Houthis, and its “Axis of Resistance” strategy endanger not only Israel but the entire Western security architecture. Sunni Islamist extremism persists beneath the surface, while antisemitism from both the radical left and elements of the right corrodes Western societies from within. As scholar Ruth Wisse notes, antisemitism erodes civilizations by shifting blame onto Jews, signaling internal moral decay.
Against this backdrop stands a massive global counterforce: 700 million Christian Zionists across North America, Africa, Latin America, Europe, and Asia. Their support for Israel stems not only from political interests but from biblical conviction, moral clarity, and strategic understanding. They know that protecting Israel means defending Western civilization against chaos and tyranny. In the United States especially, Christian Zionists form a powerful constituency whose values align closely with both American and Israeli national strength.
Ambassador Mike Huckabee, appointed US Ambassador to Israel in 2025, embodies this partnership. He has long argued that the US–Israel bond rests on shared biblical values and the belief in the sanctity of the individual—the core of Western civilization. He declared that Christian friends of Israel will not “stand behind” the Jewish people but stand with them.
