Officers from the Netivot police station located a bag containing an explosive device from the Oct 7 massacre
This morning (Wednesday), officers from the Netivot police station in the Negev District located a bag containing an explosive device linked to the October 7 massacre.
The suspicious bag was found in an open area at the entrance to the city, bearing Arabic inscriptions, and inside was an explosive device.
According to a preliminary assessment by a police bomb technician, it is possible that the equipment was left behind by terrorists who attempted to infiltrate the city of Netivot during the October 7 terror attack, and encountered police and municipal security forces who were working to secure the city.
Police bomb disposal experts from the Southern District are currently working to neutralize and investigate the explosive device.
