The US government is considering Israel's request to purchase 200 Switchblade 600 suicide drones.
The Defense Scoop website, citing Pentagon documents, said Israel submitted the request before October 30.
It was not specified when the US would agree to sell the stray munitions made by AeroVironment and what the delivery schedule would be to Israel if the order is approved.
The Switchblade 600 UAV with a 15 kg warhead can be launched by one person after only 10 minutes of preparation.
The Switchblade 600 system weighs 54.5 kg.
This UAV can hover in the air for 40 minutes and can attack targets up to 40 km away.
The Switchblade 600 is equipped with high-precision optics and an anti-armor warhead to destroy hardened targets.
The Switchblade was unveiled in 2011, and was renamed the Switchblade 300.
AeroVironment developed and launched the larger version of the Switchblade 600 in 2020.
The United States sent more than 700 Switchblade 300 aircraft to Ukraine as part of an arms package after the Russian invasion of Ukraine began in February 2022.
