Analyst Yoni Ben Menachem of the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs says the gathering is less about practical steps and more a “summit of hate” designed to show unity against Israel, while in reality serving as lip service to Arab public opinion.

Behind the scenes, he notes, key states like Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and the UAE remain wary of Qatar, recalling its history of support for Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood. 

At the same time, Washington is working to soften the summit’s conclusions to keep Israel anchored in the regional framework.
