The commander of the Central Command of the US Army - General Michael Kurilla revealed an American-Saudi initiative in cooperation with partners in the region, to establish a center to test innovative initiatives for combating unmanned aerial vehicles.
He emphasized that his country is committed to deepening the cooperation and coordination between CENTCOM and all its partners in the region to combat the joint Iranian-Houthi threat to attack the kingdom with drones.
Kurilla added, in an interview with Ashrak al-Awast news website: "We will continue anti-smuggling operations with the Royal Saudi Navy to stop the shipment of advanced conventional weapons by sea to the Houthis.
We have succeeded in preventing the entry of explosives into the region from Iran," and emphasized that military cooperation between Riyadh and Washington is inevitable, designed to increase security and stability."
