In Iraq, a fear is expressed that if Israel attacks energy facilities in Iran, this will lead to a complete power outage in the country and in fact to paralysis since the Iraqi electricity economy is based on natural gas imported from Iran.
It should be noted that according to reports from Iraq, a decrease in the supply of gas from Iran has already been felt in recent days and the fear is that an Israeli attack will result in a complete stoppage of the supply.
On average, Iraq imports between 30 and 40 million cubic meters of gas per day from Iran.
