The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have rejected a US proposal to deter Turkey from launching a new military operation against them.
The SDF leadership's decision came after their meeting with an American delegation that visited al-Hasaka province on Tuesday, following the delegation's visit to Turkey with the aim of easing tensions between the two sides.
The US delegation offered to withdraw from the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) branch in Syria, to withdraw from the town of Tel Rifat in northern Aleppo, in exchange for leaving the city of Nabj to prevent a military attack by the national army and Turkish forces.
Earlier today, the alert was raised among the SDF forces, and the preparations for war with Turkey continued.
Latest reports say that Turkey has in the last hours strengthened their artillery attacks in the area. Many analysts do not think that actual "war" will start until after Biden leaves the area.
