Taliban have their work cut out to win hearts and minds in Kabul

After 20 years of fighting, and with the new government at the head of the country, the Taliban have tried to present a conciliatory face to the world. But nevertheless, Afghanistan's new rulers have a problem closer to home which is winning the hearts and minds of their own people, starting in the capital.

Ever since the Taliban conquered Afghanistan, with the dismissal of any modernization process such as women's rights, or the hunts after all the Taliban's anti-activists, the new government will have a lot to work on in order to gain its public's trust.

They will never win the hearts of the people. They are too ruthless, too power hungry, too selfish to do so. If you boil it down, it's really every man for himself in their phoney "government".
