Hamas, Iranian regime representatives, and Western activist Charlotte Kates praised October 7 and framed propaganda as the central battlefield.
At the “Al-Aqsa Flood – Remembrance and Continuation” conference held in Baghdad on December 20, 2025, senior figures linked to Iran, Hamas, and international activist networks delivered speeches that openly celebrated the October 7 massacre and called for the elimination of Israel.
The event, posted by Rawafed.org, featured Mojtaba Al-Hosseini, a representative of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Al-Hosseini claimed there had been over 50,000 rallies in support of “Palestine,” during which participants cursed the US, Israel, and their allies. He further alleged—without evidence—that half a million Jews had left Israel after October 7, declaring that the “cancerous growth in the heart of the Muslims will collapse,” using classic genocidal language to describe Israel.
Also speaking was Osama Hamdan, a senior official in Hamas’s political bureau. Hamdan argued that the “battle for hearts and minds” is more important than the military battlefield, describing it as the most critical form of jihad today. He praised Islamic scholars, researchers, and journalists for advancing the “resistance narrative,” asserting that Israel is an “abnormal entity” that is destined to disappear and that the war is far from over.
