Somali-born author and activist Ayaan Hirsi Ali delivered a blunt critique of Rep. Ilhan Omar during an appearance on The Rubin Report, raising questions about ideology, identity, and political allegiance.
In the interview, Hirsi Ali argued that Omar is “100% clan-oriented” and claimed that Somali political activism in the West is increasingly tied to advancing Muslim Brotherhood–aligned agendas. She questioned whether Omar can continue balancing what she described as competing loyalties, asking pointedly how long such a political model can survive.
The remarks quickly spread online, sparking intense debate over the role of identity politics, Islamist movements, and foreign ideological influence within Western democracies.
