A new Israeli community, Rehavam, was officially established in Samaria, marking a significant moment for settlement development in 2026.
The move comes months after a government decision initiated by Finance Minister and Defense Ministry Minister Bezalel Smotrich, and as part of the “One Million in Samaria” plan led by Yossi Dagan, head of the Samaria Regional Council.
Ten pioneering families moved onto the site during a festive ceremony, formally launching the new community. Rehavam is located at a strategically important point on the Trans-Samaria Highway, north of the community of Migdalim, strengthening Jewish settlement continuity and security along this vital east–west route.
The ceremony was attended by Dagan, representatives of the Amana movement, which assisted in establishing the community, and members of the founding families’ nucleus. As part of the initial phase, residential caravans were placed on site for the families.
