Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said at a parliamentary group meeting held by his political party, AK Parti, that was aired by the Turkish state-run Anadolu Agency on May 27, 2024 that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is a crazy, barbaric "psychopath" and a "vampire" who "feeds on blood." 

He said that Netanyahu follows in the footsteps of Adolf Hitler, and that Israel's "genocide" and "savagery" must be stopped by an "alliance of humanity" before Netanyahu "and his murder network" get completely out of control. 

Erdoğan elaborated that the blood spilt by Israel is also on the hands of the United States and the European countries, which he accused of being partners in Israel's "genocide, barbarism, and vampirism," and he said that so long as Israel feels that it is not bound by international law, no country or state – including Turkey – is safe.
