A bag is shown with embroidery on it of the PA map of “Palestine” with a Palestinian flag on top of it and the word “Palestine.”
Lebanese refugee camp resident Amira Al-Shouni: “When I embroider a map on a bag, this bag can reach other countries, foreign countries. When they see this map, and someone has implanted in their mind a different map of Palestine, this creates contrast and discussion and questions. Then a person asks: What is the truth? This is the truth, what is drawn here. When we draw our map, we recognize it, we recognize its area and its borders, and no one can change it.”
A work of embroidery is shown featuring the PA map of “Palestine” that presents all of Israel together with the PA areas as “Palestine,” with a butterfly flying over it with the Palestinian flag colors on its wings. The name “Maryam” is written on the embroidery.
