EMT and ambulance driver Zevi Klein was commended for decisive action during a major fire at a girls’ seminary, treating multiple patients while helping drive rapid evacuation under pressure.
Jerusalem’s City Hall honored six United Hatzalah volunteers with the mayor’s certificates of excellence at the city’s annual ceremony for standout security and medical responders, attended by Mayor Moshe Lion alongside United Hatzalah leadership, including Deputy CEO Eli Pollak and senior medical officials.
Among the honorees: Dr. Daniel Yosef Shakargy, an ambucycle physician who raced to a choking emergency on the eve of Sukkot, cleared the airway, and brought the patient back to full consciousness.
Paramedic Shir Chaver was also recognized after safely delivering a healthy baby girl during a night shift when a woman went into labor in her vehicle.
