Footage circulating on social media accounts affiliated with Fatah and the Palestinian Authority shows members of the Palestinian Authority’s security forces undergoing military training at a military academy in Russia.
The videos were published under the headline: “Gaza, a symbol of bombardment and destruction,” and feature PA personnel chanting a slogan identified with Hamas and also echoed by jihadist factions linked to Abu Mohammad al-Jolani’s forces:
“Gaza, symbol of bombardment and destruction, night and day — I am coming to you, my enemy, I am coming!”
According to the reports, Russia is providing military training to multiple branches of the Palestinian Authority’s security apparatus, including National Security Forces, General Intelligence, and Preventive Security — bodies that are officially presented to the international community as responsible for stability and counterterrorism.
The footage has sparked criticism, as it highlights ideological alignment and rhetoric associated with terrorist organizations such as Hamas, raising concerns over the true orientation of PA-trained forces and their international military partnerships, particularly with Russia.
