An Iranian regime advisor repeated classic antisemitic blood libel accusations on state television while also calling for Israel to be annihilated.
Alireza Panahian, a senior advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, appeared on Ofogh TV and launched a series of extreme accusations against Israel and the Jewish people. During the broadcast, Panahian called President Trump a “cannibal” and also attacked Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Panahian went further by repeating the medieval antisemitic blood libel conspiracy, claiming that Jews secretly drink the blood of innocent children as part of religious observances. He suggested that while this practice has supposedly been done secretly in the past, it would eventually be done openly in the future.
The Iranian cleric also discussed what he described as a religious duty among Shiites to “liberate Palestine,” arguing that too much time has already passed without destroying Israel. During the interview, he said that Shiites have “taken too long to annihilate Israel,” openly calling for the Jewish state’s destruction.
