Israel has officially expanded its emergency response framework in a move shaped by the post October 7 security reality.

National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir announced the formal recognition of YATAR as an authorized emergency response organization, granting it nationwide operational status and full emergency response authority. 

The approval marks the first time in many years that a new emergency organization has been officially added to Israel’s internal security and rescue system.
