Conservative author and filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza argues that Barack Obama did not simply serve two presidential terms and leave office.
Instead, he says, Obama fundamentally transformed the Democratic Party and remains politically active in an effort to continue reshaping America.
According to D’Souza, the central Obama project was never merely about race, personal ambition or remaining relevant. He describes it as an ideological attempt to weaken traditional American institutions and replace them with a political order based on radical left-wing and anti-Western ideas.
D’Souza argues that America became more divided during Obama’s presidency and that relations between Republicans and Democrats never returned to their previous state. In his view, Obama’s promise to “remake” America required first dismantling the cultural, economic and political foundations that had previously defined the country.
