Mahmoud Al-Habbash, an adviser to Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, accused Hamas of seeking to maintain its control over Gaza regardless of the human cost, saying the terrorist organization is willing to rule “even over the skulls of children.”
Speaking on the Mazeej Podcast by Saudi-owned Al-Arabiya, Al-Habbash said Hamas continues to rely on violence, intimidation, extortion, and arrests against Gazans while showing no concern for the suffering and destruction inside the Strip.
He also described Hamas as the first militia formed in Gaza and sharply criticized the October 7 massacre, calling it “accursed” and blaming it for bringing disaster upon the people of Gaza.
According to Al-Habbash, Hamas’s main concern is preserving its rule rather than protecting civilians or rebuilding Gaza after months of war and devastation.
