For the first time, the Negev Wine Region — Israel’s only desert wine-producing area — was showcased in a European capital
The event, held in Madrid, brought together over 20 Israeli wineries and key figures from Spain’s culinary world, including top chefs, sommeliers, and industry leaders.
The gala, organized by the Hispano-Jewish Foundation in collaboration with the Mirage Israel Foundation, marked the international launch of the Negev Winery Club, an initiative promoting Israeli winemaking and agrotourism. Guests sampled Negev wines and discussed the challenges of desert viticulture.
The delegation also toured Spain’s Ribera del Duero wine region, fostering collaboration between Israeli and Spanish winemakers.
