Egyptian Salafi leader Yasser Borhamy responds to IUMS Fatwa obligating Jihad against Israel: Egypt lacks the capability to fight Israel now, it must prepare and wait for the balance of power to shift.

In his weekly lecture, Egyptian Salafi leader Yasser Borhamy, responded to a question about the fatwa by Ali Al-Qaradaghi Secretary-General of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, according to which armed Jihad against Israel is obligatory for all Muslims in an April 5, 2025 video posted on his Facebook page.

He stated that the people of Gaza should have consulted with Muslim countries before initiating the war.
