Lt. Col. (res.) and attorney Maurice Hirsch, a researcher with JCFA, exposes the true face of Hussein al-Sheikh—the man likely to be appointed as deputy chairman of the PLO and, effectively, Mahmoud Abbas’s successor.
“This is a man who spent 11 years in prison for terrorism-related offenses, helped attackers, supported funding for terrorists’ families, praised murderers—and yet became a favorite of the U.S. administration, even receiving an official invitation to Washington in blatant violation of American law,” Hirsch writes.
According to Hirsch, al-Sheikh was indirectly involved in an attack that killed three civilians in Jerusalem. He has publicly praised families of serial
killers and referred to Ismail Haniyeh as a “martyr” after his recent elimination. Even after the October 7 massacre, al-Sheikh continued to refer to
Hamas as his “brothers.” Despite this record, he enjoys strong support from Palestinian leadership and receives praise from Western governments.
“He’s just another terrorist in a suit,” says Hirsch, “wrapped in diplomatic niceties and nurtured by a West that prefers to keep its eyes shut.”
