WATCH: Fatah official confirms ‘pay for slay’ policy will never cease

Amer Issa, a member of the leadership of Fatah’s Syria Branch, stated that payments to terrorists will not stop and have been moved to another department to circumvent Israeli, American, and European pressure.

Amer Issa, a member of the leadership of Fatah's Syria Branch rejected claims that Fatah has stopped payments to prisoners and the families of "martyrs" in a February 20, 2025 appearance on Awda TV (Palestinian Authority).

He explained that the new policy announced by President Mahmoud Abbas, was actually a new mechanism that would enable these payments to continue, resisting European, American, and Arab pressure to stop the practice.
