The counter-terrorism operations were carried out after a reservist soldier was shot at and wounded.
Security forces on Friday killed a terrorist belonging to the Palestinian Authority Police near Nablus in Samaria, the Israel Defense Forces, Israel Border Police and Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) said in a joint statement.
Yamam, the Border Police’s National Counter-Terrorism Unit, was deployed to the town of Tell in the P.A.’s Nablus Governorate to locate the terrorist who fired at and wounded a reserve combat soldier the previous day, the statement read.
In less than 35 hours since the incident, the special forces operators, guided by the Shin Bet, identified and found the shooter holding a long weapon and killed him, the Israeli military said.
