Turkey-based Egyptian therapist Mona Sobhy revived the medieval blood libel, claiming Jews use the blood of non-Jewish children in Passover matzah.
Dr. Mona Sobhy, an Egyptian family therapist based in Turkey, said in a June 21 interview on Hiwar TV, a London-based Muslim Brotherhood channel, that Jews “knead the blood” of gentile children into matzah during Passover.
Sobhy cited the Damascus Blood Libel of 1840, in which Jews were falsely accused of kidnapping and murdering a Christian monk, and presented the antisemitic myth as if it reflected Jewish tradition.
She also claimed that the West gathered Jews into the “Israeli project” in order to rid itself of Jewish traditions, Jewish-caused “problems,” and what she called Jewish usury.
