In a moment that blended politics with real-life, President Donald Trump welcomed a DoorDash driver to the White House, using the occasion to highlight a tax break on tips that is directly helping working Americans.

The driver, Sharon Simmons, also known as the “DoorDash Grandma,” delivered McDonald’s to the White House, where she was greeted personally by the president. 

But what could have been a routine delivery quickly turned into something much bigger.
